La fondation de notre club ne fut pas facile, loin de là !
En Suisse, le premier club fut celui de Genève, fondé en 1930, grâce à des contacts personnels de la Dre Suzanne Noël, de Paris.
En 1947, Cécile Biéler-Butticaz faisait déjà partie du SI Club Genève-Fondateur depuis 13 ans et Madeleine Butticaz, hôtelière lausannoise, également dès 1946. Les contacts avec des personnalités marquantes (Dre Suzanne Noël, de Paris et Dre Marie-Madeleine Garot–Schwers, d’Anvers) qui venaient régulièrement dans la région, les ont encouragées à envisager la création d’un club à Lausanne.
